Try Our Flagship Tea Hōjichai Black
Hōjichai Black Is an amalgamation of spicy, roasty and deep flavours originating from a unique blend of Chai spice, Hōjicha and Ceylon Black Tea.
More than anything this tea is an extension of my creativity, heritage and passion for things that delight the senses and embody the richness that cultures around the world have to offer.

“Why is it,” Jonathan puzzled, “that the hardest thing in the world is to convince a bird that he is free, and that he can prove it for himself if he’d just spend a little time practicing? Why should that be so hard?”
― Richard Bach, Jonathan Livingston Seagull

FAQ
What is Hojichai Black?
It's the tea that changed my life. A random spark of part boredom, part inspiration that led me down a rabbit hole towards freedom, health and becoming more whole as a person. Try the brew, change your life.
Are all your teas organic?
Yes. All our ingredients put into our teas are fully organic.
Where do your teas come from?
We source our teas from a variety of locations. From Japan to Sri Lanka to India, we source the finest ingredients from around the world just for you.
What's with the birds?
They are not just birds, they're Black Kites. A scavenger hawk that is cunning and intelligent in the way it's been able to survive and thrive across the world. They've gotten a bad wrap in Japan for becoming known to fly down and steal food straight out of your hand.
Once upon a time in Japan they were revered. In the Chronicle of Japan there's a story about a golden coloured Black Kite that perched at the tip of Emperor Jinmu’s arrow, blinded the eyes of the enemies by emitting light and finally led the emperor to victory.
Fallen from grace, the Black Kite embodies the struggle for survival that we all experience and acts as a symbol for hope that you too can break free from the bondage of sterotypes and soar into open skies, reclaiming your right to freedom in an ever distracted and addicted society.
